Our client, a leading Leisure business with a turnover of £300million based in Central London is looking for a Senior Finance Manager to lead their reporting function. They have firmly established their brand over a number of years due to their service, focus and commitment to innovation, and thus, the business is on track for yet another successful year. Reporting directly to the Financial Director, you will be working within a fast paced environment, whilst supervising a small team.

This newly created opportunity has been created to support the business with detailed analysis, management information and statutory accounts. The Senior Finance Manager will be adding value by delivering accurate and timely financial data to influence and contribute to decision making and business planning throughout the organisation, whilst considering controls and process improvements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing the statutory accounts
  • Producing the monthly reporting pack with commentary
  • Providing support to the Heads of Departments and Key Stakeholders
  • Analysing the group entities results and investigating anomalies
  • Liaising with the planning team
  • Involved with the budgeting process for the group
  • Providing tax schedules where necessary to support the tax return
  • Reviewing the VAT returns
  • Working closely with the group finance team
  • Working closely with the auditors to provide information during the audit
  • Assisting with finance projects on an ad hoc basis
  • Supervising and mentoring a small team

This role requires an ambitious qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with the capacity to lead and drive the reporting function to improve processes and build relationships across the business. You will have strong commercial acumen and be able to confidently communicate and present at all levels.
