Interim Financial Controller

The Opportunity

An exciting SME business in the film industry that is private equity backed seeks an Interim Financial Controller to manage a high-performing finance team through an interesting time in the company’s development. The CFO is looking for a talented number two to come in and assist him whilst he embarks on a series of external projects.

The Role 

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for the day-today management of the finance function, including four accountants. You will be leading the production of monthly management accounts including financial performance, variance analysis and cashflow forecasting. Cash management, building budgets, and forecasts will also be within your remit.

Requirements

To apply for this role you will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) ideally with previous experience working within a private equity backed small to medium sized business, perhaps with an international footprint. Due to the business’ position in TV and film, you will most probably have an affinity and interest in that sector. In an ideal world, you will have worked as an interim before and have the capability to hit the ground running, and cope under pressure in a fast-paced and growing but chaotic business through which you will be capable to produce credible numbers and management information. You will be a highly proficient team manager. If you have used Sage 200 before as well, that would be a definite advantage.
