An opportunity has arisen for an Financial Accountant to join a well-known service company in Reading. This role would be ideal for a proactive individual who wants to join a high performing team with room to develop and progress further in their career.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing the understanding of, and improving operational processes whilst maintaining integrity of financial controls.
- Providing support for change management within the team and assisting in supplying evidence to internal and external auditor requests.
- Produce and review Balance Sheet reconciliations to enhance controls, identify process improvements and inefficiencies.
The successful candidate will be qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), have a good knowledge of IFRS and experience working in a Financial Services background. An understanding of double entry, journal processing and Microsoft Excel is also essential. Excellent communication skills are needed as you will be required to coordinate with other areas of the business and manage stakeholder expectations. There is an element of travel to this role once a week.
