Assistant Management Accountant - Part Qualified

THE COMPANY:

Brewster Pratap are recruiting an experienced Assistant Management Accountant for a large, leading service sector organisation based in Sheffield. They are commutable from Barnsley, Rotherham and Chesterfield.

THE JOB:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well respected organisation offering and support and career progression. Reporting to the Management Accountant duties will include:

Assisting with all aspects of maintenance and development of the budgeting and reporting system
Assisting with drafting the annual budget board report and regular reforecasting reports
Assisting with data manipulation and loading for month end management accounts preparation
Assisting with query answering and investigations for the group CFO
Involvement in reviewing and posting monthly payroll and related transactions
Liaising with colleagues accross the business to confirm assumptions underpinning budgets and reforecasts
Assisting with other projects as they arise in a busy and varied growing business
Journal preparation and posting
Preparation and maintenance of systems development 'action list'
Assisting Financial Accounts with year-end statutory reporting and audit preparation as required
Other ad hoc work as required by the Management Accountant

THE PERSON:

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and currently studying a professional qualification (ACCA /CIMA)
Previous experience is essential
The ability to work to tight deadlines is required
Ability to join an existing team, working in a friendly and relaxed, but highly professional atmosphere
Ability to deal with internal "clients" at all levels from Office Assistants to Head of Departments, interpreting, understanding and implementing users' requirements
