The Finance function is core to supporting successful business outcomes, and not only delivering strong financial control, but entrepreneurial flair in order to help maximise the opportunities that arise.
A brilliant all round opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant This is a Sheffield based finance role reporting to the Finance Manager of Voice Marketing Limited, and is part of the larger Customer Management finance team.
This is predominantly a business partnering role, supporting the operation in identifying opportunities for improved business performance, and helping to deliver those improvements. Underpinning this, the role will involve raising a small number of high value client invoices, month end processing, reporting and analysis, and supporting with report production.
This role will assist in delivering high quality commercial analysis, forecasting and reporting, driving performance and influencing strategy through a greater understanding of the business & client areas.
This is a "sleeves rolled up" position, with the opportunity to get involved in a varied and interesting business, and deliver change in a growth environment. There is real opportunity for development and progression, both within Voice as it grows and within the wider Customer management division.
Actual & Forecast Results:
Supporting with:
in-month flash reporting to the operation, along with weekly planning meetings to review campaign performance MTD, and forecast coming months;
the accurate and timely reporting for a portfolio of clients on a monthly basis. Review & challenge the outcomes, to ensure accurate representation of the client P&Ls and balance sheet entries;
reporting performance against budget and flexed targets, and ensure key drivers of variances are explained;
Build and maintain strong professional relationships across the business to influence financial performance and understand contract, price and cost drivers, and challenge assumptions where necessary;
Work closely with the Sales and Operational functions to ensure accurate forecasts of revenue, costs and margin are delivered. Review the detailed forecasts produced and challenge assumptions made;
Review forecast against Business Plan and previous forecast targets, and ensure key drivers of variances are explained;
Working Capital & billing:
Minimise Working Capital by ensuring the accurate & timely billing to clients, and facilitate query resolution on a timely basis;
Reporting:
Work with the Finance Manager & Director to deliver monthly scheduled and ad-hoc reporting;
Work as a team to streamline existing processes, and design new reports and processes.
Other:
Work closely with Operations and Client Relationship teams to share insight as to the drivers for underperforming clients and for input of subsequently agreed profit improvement plans;
Attend review sessions with Operations and produce KPIs for actual vs priced performance;
Support the operational team with client requests, meetings and the financial aspects of issues raised.
Candidate:
Requirements
Part or newly qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA),
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to challenge and influence.
Able to deal with a conflicting tasks and demands on a timely basis.
Attention to detail
Systems Used
SAP,& Axiom are the core system tools. Excel is used extensively, along with Word & Powerpoint.
