Elevation Recruitment Group's Senior Finance Practice are working in exclusive partnership with one of Sheffield's most reputable manufacturing organisations as they look to recruit a technically strong and commercially astute Management Accountant.

Reporting directly into the current Financial Controller - with a succession plan to eventually take over from them entirely - the role's primary purpose will be to support the team in the fulfilment of objectives and to drive forward improvements to the management reporting for the business. In order to do so effectively, this position will involve working cross-functionally and liaising directly with various areas of the business and management levels.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Monthly management accounts preparation to strict deadlines
* Accurate reconciliation of monthly Balance Sheet and Revenue Statement and completion of agreed internal controls
* Preparing, reviewing and updating detailed BoM costings
* Controlling stock counts, analysing variances and providing Inventory reporting
* Active participation in assessing manufacturing systems and facilitating & overseeing improvements to the business unit process
* Responsible for overseeing and managing the workflow of manufacturing production administrators in accounts office
* Supporting Finance Manager in reviewing Capex spend against budget and updating Fixed Asset Registers
* Active participation in the continuous improvement and standardisation in the monthly management accounts process and activities
* Develop a detailed understanding of managerial accounting rules
* Attend team meetings wherever possible for immediate team, Divisional Accounting team and wider finance team
* On an ad-hoc basis, participate in service delivery meetings providing status on team's performance, potential issues, and the like as well as providing input on continuous improvement and issue resolution

The successful candidate will require the following:

* CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification
* Previous experience within the manufacturing industry
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment under pressure
* Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders across the business (particularly Manufacturing and Production)
