Our client, a large manufacturing group based near Kingston, are currently looking for a Payroll Officer to start a permanent assignment. The successful applicant will need volume payroll experience and be able to business partner between HR and employees comfortably. Strong Excel skills are essential including the ability to work to tight deadlines and have excellent communication skills.

Duties will include:

•              Prepare payrolls on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis

•              Incorporate payroll changes and cut-off dates

•              SSP, SPP and SMP calculation

•              Maintain payroll procedures

•              Respond efficiently to payroll queries

•              Provide management information reports

•              Provide security payslips for employees

•              PAYE/NIC

•              Employee advice and liaison with HM Revenues and Customs

•              Complete PSA & P11Ds

•              Assist colleagues with payroll support

You must have

•              At least 2 years’ experience of payroll preparation

•              PAYE experience

•              Excellent communication skills

•              Excellent IT skills including Excel
