Financial Accountant

A fantastic opportunity for a Regional Financial Accountant has arisen in a well-established international transport company based in the heart of London.

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, the Regional Financial Accountant will predominantly be responsible for leading the regional technical reporting function to both US and UK GAAP and will manage the IFRS implementation throughout the Europe and UK region.

Key duties will include however not limited to:

• Contributing to accurate financial reporting
• Reporting in US GAAP, UK GAAP and IFRS format
• US GAAP and IFRS monthly reconciliations
• Preparation of year-end statutory financial statements (including consolidations)
• Assisting the Financial Accountant in developing the group accounting manual
• Managing the quarterly audit and statutory reviews
• Assisting in the Quarterly Audits and annual Statutory Audit
• Support financial and commercial ad-hoc projects
• Preparation of presentations for the audit committee

Essential requirements:

• Qualified Accountant with 3 years post qualification experience
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and US GAAP
• Caseware systems experience
• Business Partnering experience
• Understanding of UK Corporation Tax legislation
• Strong communication and relationship building skills to work with business stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel skills
