Our growth focused branded FMCG and Supply Chain client, a market leader in their sector is currently looking to recruit a new Financial Controller. Â This is a visible, rewarding and challenging finance opportunity to work in a proactive and dynamic Global group where you will be responsible for managing financial accounting and reporting including the management and supervision of the UK Finance Team.

Reporting to the Finance Director, The key responsibilities of this exciting and challenging role will include all aspects of managing the smooth running and financial output of a cost focused circa £50 million turnover business;  the preparation of weekly and monthly UK management accounts to a tight deadline; to manage the reporting of financial information and accounts both internally and to head office (reviewing all data in HFM) as well as being responsible for producing statutory accounts for non trading entities and supporting the information pack for their trading division; monitoring and controlling debtor days, creditor days and stock days; producing rolling forecasts for each office and obtaining relevant information to assist; As well as; managing the annual budgeting process and assisting with the annual strategic plan. Other duties will include to manage UK Payroll, to assist with the forward buying and hedging of currency; to produce and review customer profitability analysis in line with maintaining their cost to serve model and liaising with internal and external auditors to ensure all information is prepared and presented when requested.

The successful candidate will be an experienced and confident Qualified Finance Manager / Financial Controller with a minimum of three to five years of post qualification experience and experience of managing and developing staff. Â This role will require the successful candidate to challenge, facilitate and influence at all levels across the business and the wider team and to have a strong customer focus (demonstrating an understanding of the needs of both internal and external customers) Strong spreadsheet, data manipulation and MS excel skills are also highly desirable as is any recent sector experience of working in/within a fast moving business to business environment and/or FMCG / Supply Chain.  This is an excellent opportunity to join and be part of a highly successful and rewarding global business whose values and vision is built around exemplary customer service and integrity.
