Our client is an entrepreneurial medical technology business which has experienced exponential growth over recent years. To support its continued growth the business requires a Group Financial Controller. Reporting to CEO key responsibilities will include –

Finance and Budgeting:

  • Drive P&L accountability by providing analysis and communication of actual results, forecasts, and budgets
  • You will have overall responsibility for annual financial planning by directing and coordinating the annual financial planning and budgeting process for the group
  • You will have overall financial management responsibility including the review and approval of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting materials and metrics for the CFO/Board.
  • You will oversee budgeting, financial forecasting on a monthly and quarterly basis with detail assumptions, cash flow and coordination of audit activities as well as accounts payable and receivable.
  • You will be responsible for reconciling financial activities and also capture key data and processes for internal and external reporting
  • Work closely with all business divisions to ensure quality and effective control over month end processes and monthly reporting
  • Manage finance staff responsible for management reporting

Operations:

  • You will work in partnership with the directors on the group’s administrative and operational processes, with a goal of continuously developing and improving systems.

Company Assets:

  • You will ensure that all the risks associate to the group’s activities, including investment, loans, overdrafts, bank activities are regularly and properly evaluated, monitored and adequately secured.
  • A proper and complete register of the group’s assets is kept.
  • All the group’s Assets are properly surveyed, registered, recorded, valued and Certificates thereof are obtained and kept.
  • All group’s assets are properly utilised and protected

Reporting and Communication:

  • You will ensure that the CEO and the Board receives regular reports on group performance
  • The CEO/Board’s financial decisions are implemented in a timely manner.
  • All the SMT submit quarterly reports for the Board’s consideration.

You will be a Qualified Accountant with excellent financial controllership skills, the ability to manage teams and experience of working for a business with an international footprint.  Experience of working for a SME is essential. You must be highly ambitious and a self-starter.
