Our client is a listed, global business currently seeking a new Group Financial Controller to work closely with the newly appointed Group CFO. As a result of a recent restructure, the Group CFO now requires an experienced Group Financial Controller to manage the Group function and develop ‘best practice’ controls and processes to allow continued growth and expansion.

This is an extremely visible, business-critical position. The Group Financial Controller’s day-to-day duties will include:

Financial and management reporting

  • Manage the month end process and prepare group management accounts, profit and loss and balance sheet
  • Management of cash flow and forecasting
  • Production of IFRS compliant half year and full year statutory accounts in accordance with listed requirements
  • Development of financial accounting policies and processes

Treasury

  • Manage cash balances and treasury risk, whilst seeking to optimise financial returns

Compliance and statutory reporting

  • Ensure compliance with appropriate accounting standards (IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP)
  • Undertake tax compliance requirements
  • Deliver full-year and half-year financial reporting processes and audits
  • Review the controls environment to ensure best practice

Leadership and team management

  • Lead, motivate and inspire the finance team and work closely with Operational business leaders to support them from a Group perspective

Applicants will be fully qualified (ACA preferred) with outstanding technical and regulatory experience gained in a corporate, best practice environment. Applicants will also be adept at operating in a dynamic, entrepreneurial organisation that has a global footprint. They must be an effective business partner with the ability to work with stakeholders across all functions and at all levels.
