The Business
A renowned financial service business based in the North West is currently seeking a Senior Business Partner to join the business with immediate effect. The organisation that we're representing are going through a major change programme and are looking to take advantage of their current position. Having recently implemented a revised project methodology the project business partner plays a key part to the success of multiple programmes.
The Role
Lasting for a minimum of 6 months the Senior Business Partner plays a critical part to the success of multiple programmes across the business. Once in role the candidate will be responsible for liaising with multiple senior stakeholders across a range of projects and will have direct contact with the finance teams within the project area of the business.
Specific duties include:
- Take ownership of key financial processes and strategy across multiple programme streams
- Provide analysis around emerging trends that influence senior leaders across the transformation programme
- Provide high level commentary on all project and programme areas
- Provide accurate financial and management information to enable analysis of results, plans, forecasts and risks
- Stakeholder engagement across the executive to ensure that heads are aware of the financial consequences of their decisions
- Take a lead on all strategic planning and budgeting exercises
- Identify and ensure levels of governance are sufficient across all projects
- Take responsibility to endure that programmes are operating efficiently and have appropriate levels of accountability
- Liaise with centralised and project finance teams to ensure that programmes are delivering in line with projections, project spend is controlled and deadlines are hit
- Become the key finance contact across all project portfolios & implement standardised reporting and financial processes
- Establish and monitor financial requirements across all project areas
- Collate and analyse financial information from multiple projects across the business
- Liaise with the PMO to design and deliver standardised processes across all project teams
- Production and preparation of project steering packs for the executive board
The Candidate
Candidates wishing to apply for this role will be a seasoned interim with extensive experience of working across multiple projects within a large, highly regulated business. The candidate will be a CCAB qualified and will be well versed in stakeholder engagement and liaising with the most senior individuals across the business. The interim will be technically strong and will need to demonstrate strong finance skills within a project environment. Large elements of this position will be hands on so will require the candidate to demonstrate strong project skills within a financial services background. The candidate will have the ability to prepare detailed finance and management information and will have proven commercial skills . The interim must be available at short notice and will commit to the longevity of the role
