Senior Analyst / Assistant Manager - Retail Credit Risk
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager in Retail Credit Risk Oversight to join a successful and growing financial services business in Edinburgh.
The successful candidate will be support the development of the function's second line oversight of the Credit Function, providing independent challenge to the credit risk management function, and developing independent insight across credit portfolios to ensure that credit risk policies are fit to purpose and strategy execution delivers the expected outcomes. Based on deep knowledge across credit portfolios and strong data analytic skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Supporting the second line oversight arrangements with respect to credit risk, providing oversight and challenge over policy setting and strategy development & execution.
- Providing challenge to the credit management function, processes, metrics and credit performance measurement, based on deep knowledge on the credit portfolios and processes and solid data science skills.
- Supporting the development of insight reporting to deliver specific & independent analysis of the portfolio, based on data science capabilities.
- Developing knowledge across product categories, credit portfolios and the credit lifecycle.
- Working collaboratively with the Portfolio Management function to maximise the reach and effectiveness of resources across the Risk function.
Desired Experience:
The successful candidate will ideally possess a strong analytical background and SAS experience along with exposure to working within a retail bank / credit risk function.
