Controller - Property and Facilities Management

The role is part of Corporate Procurement Europe team and supports the Properties & Facilities Management team.

Job Purpose
- Provider of all key and core Management Reporting, analysis, financial       control and decision making support (Actual, Budget and Forecast) for P&FM (Properties & Facilities Management) Team.
- Support Site / Country Facility Managers to deliver accurate monthly results
- Promote, enhance and own one Central Reporting, and govern that the reports are consistent and are used across P&FM as a sole source of information.
- Provide Senior Management with Monthly presentations and analysis of Sony Europe’s Performance versus Budget Forecast and prior Year, these presentations can be ad hoc as well as regular
- Take ownership of Facilities Management Purchase Orders
- Be an integral part of the budget process ensuring reporting and Budget accuracy

Key Responsibilities and Scope for Decision making:

Controllership:
Decision Support Activities & Business Partnering (Actual & Planning – Budget / Forecast)
- Work closely with Corporate Planning & Control Europe

Continuous Improvement:
- Optimise tools and systems available to provide automated financial and operational information for Stakeholders
- Maintain, optimise, develop (with the System/BI team) and promote the automated “self-service” Reporting platform that should be used as a sole source - from high level dashboard to some more detailed “operational” reports
- Delivery to all stakeholders of all necessary information and analysis in a timely and accurate manner, to enable incisive monitoring of the performance opposite objectives and targets
- Prepare suitable 1st level analysis / commentaries / gap analysis
- Help coordination and support Budget, Forecast and Review processes
- Work closely with SGFA (Sony Global Finance Accounting) and CPCE (Corporate Planning & Control Europe) for Financial Controlling matters regarding Costs and Operating Revenue (P&L closing)

Qualifications & Experience
- 3-5 years finance and control experience demonstrated within comparable industry and business
- Experience of working across a European business within multi-cultural working environment
- Experience of blue chip corporate environment
- Experience in core finance process areas controlling
- Expertise of BW Integrated Planning and SAP ERP System (FICO)
- Experience and / or understanding of consumer & business technology industry
- English language (written and spoken)
- Additional language skills would be preferred but not essential
