A leading housing organisation based in Liverpool are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Financial Accountant to join them on a fixed term contract until April 2017.
Leading a small team, the successful applicant will be responsible for preparing the financial and statutory returns required and deliver a leading class customer service. Working amongst a friendly and supportive Finance department within a fast paced and dynamic work environment, your responsibilities will include:
Applicants will have proven experience of carrying out the duties listed above, previously supervised a team and will be experienced in working to tight deadlines. My client is looking for applicants who are Qualified or Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent).

- Reviewing and posting journals for Finance teams, Divisions, Subsidiaries and joint ventures ensuring strict SLA's are met on an individual and team basis
- Preparing Financial Statements for small companies and subsidiaries
- Reviewing and approving balance sheet reconciliations for the Group and its subsidiaries
- Assisting with year-end process and facilitate internal and external audit
- Providing support and advice to senior managers to assist with Management reporting
- Developing and monitoring KPI's/SLA's for the finance helpdesk team
- Supervising and mentoring 3 team leaders ensuring appraisals are carried out on a regular basis
- Performing audit checks around system changes to ensure that processes and procedures are followed to strict protocol
