Phenomenal opportunity for a Tax generalist operating at Manager or Assistant Manager level to join a well known global real estate business in a key appointment to their impressive London HQ. The company are a top tier organisation and operate across the full spectrum of real estate from property services and facilities management to development and investment management. Their Tax team is a high profile and business facing division with the Head of Tax committed to ensuring all team members receive plenty of training and investment in their careers.
Owing to an internal promotion, this role will focus on partnering with a key business unit as their dedicated Tax specialist, covering everything from day to day reporting and compliance to indirect/VAT matters and plenty of ad hoc advisory work. You'll need to be happy in an extremely broad role with the opportunity to get involved in project work across tax and finance. Longer term there will be plenty of opportunity to gain promotion or move within the wider Tax and Finance division, both in the UK and internationally.
The ideal candidate is likely to be degree educated and a qualified accountant (ACA, CA, CTA or equivalent) with around 4 to 5 years experience or thereabouts. Background wise the hiring manager is keen to speak to people looking for a first move from a mid tier firm at Assistant Manager, Supervisor or junior Manager level or alternatively someone who is already working in industry. Exposure to property or real estate isn't essential and we're open to candidates from all sectors and industries. You'll need to display quite rounded experience across corporate tax, VAT / indirect tax and advisory with exposure to medium to large sized businesses and reporting requirements. In person you'll need to be a strong communicator, able to build relationships across the group (including with senior management and HMRC).
Salary on offer is c£60-65k base and the role is looking to make an appointment ASAP in the coming weeks.
