Example projects include: Does additional store payroll drive incremental sales? What is Click & Collect worth to the business? What are the most effective marketing channels? What drives shrinkage in stores? Do neighbouring retailers have a positive or negative effect on our sales?
This Senior Analyst role offers a unique opportunity to be a truly commercially focused Business partner. You will be responsible for delivering insightful analysis to answer key business questions that directly influence the day-to-day and long term strategy.

The Analysis team supports the whole organisation, partnering across Marketing, Operations, Property, Merchandising, Buying, Distribution, Ecommerce and more, providing great opportunity to gain exposure across all members of the Senior Leadership team with direct exposure to the CFO.
-Work with senior management to support the development of appropriate strategies for the growth of the Europe business
-Partner across the entire organisation to support both financially and analytically towards their goals and priorities
-Support the business to conduct trials, consult non finance professionals on Test and Learn best practice, analyse results using statistical software and present findings back to Senior Leadership
-Work with business partners to build financial business cases to support large scale investments
-Develop an understanding of the competitive pressures that the business faces and their potential implications and provide business alternatives/solutions
-Work with the Head of Analysis to provide cohesive analytical support on ad hoc financial analyses that drive strategic business decisions
-Continually challenge current thinking and make recommendations on how to optimise business opportunities and minimise risk/cost to the business.
-Evaluate and report actual versus planned outcomes of key European strategic and tactical decisions
-Ensure all Corporate requirements are met on time and to the required standard

The successful candidate will be of the highest calibre. A CIMA or ACA Qualified (ideally first time passes) Analyst with a very strong track-record of academic and professional achievement. You will be a high potential candidate with ambitions to reach Head of / FD level. You will come from a large Blue-Chip business or from the Corporate Finance / Transaction Services arm of a Big 4 / Top 10 firm. Strong business modelling skills are required; A high level of initiative and drive, combined with an analytical approach to problem solving and acute commercial awareness; You will be able to communicate and influence across the business; Experience within a consumer facing business (Retail/FMCG) is desirable but not essential.
