MANAGER - UK PROPERTY ACCOUNTING- REAL ESTATE - £70,000 - £75,000 - OUR CLIENT is an ambitious market leading global Investment Company who have instructed us to recruit a Qualified Accountant and Manager to head up and manage the team responsible for a multi-billion property fund and its associated accounting and reporting.
The Role will entail the financial reporting of the UK property assets owned on behalf a range of funds and segregated mandates. The duties are as follows:
- Managing the team responsible for the financial control and financial reporting on Real Estate / Institutional funds.
- Managing relationships with both the internal teams and the related external parties involved in the financial administration of the investments.
- Overseeing and reviewing daily, weekly and monthly unit pricing activities prepared by direct reports within agreed deadlines.
- Overseeing and reviewing of monthly and quarterly reports across unit priced and segregated mandates.
- Overseeing and reviewing of statutory financial statements.
- Overseeing financial statements and controlling checks prepared by third party service providers.
- Reviewing and signing off financial control checks to agreed formats.
- Reviewing production of cash flow forecasts for the fund managers, and assisting with related queries from users of the forecast reports.
- Liaising with external auditors.
- Auditing support and monitoring audit timetables set by external service providers.
- Continually monitoring and improving, where necessary, the processes, controls and procedures associated with the activities in the team.
- Monitoring and assessing risk and controls in respect of all aspects of financial transactions associated with the financial operations of the funds.
- Assisting in the implementation of projects associated with the Property Fund Services function.
- Contribute to the management objectives for the Property Fund Services team.
The Person: In order to apply, you MUST be an ACA/ACCA qualified with exposure to property fund accounting under UKGAAP and IFRS and must have proven experience of team management. You will also need to have strong communication skills and be able to analyse financial data competently. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a diligent, detailed and proactive approach to completing tasks as well as working well within a team.
