Senior Financial Accountant

Senior Financial Accountant - Real Estate. Our Client is a wealthy owner / investor with an impressive Commercial/Residential real estate portfolio in Central London who now require an experienced person to join their team as a Financial Accountant.

The Role will involve working alongside four other accountants in a well-established team and reporting to the Group Financial Controller.

• Responsibility for all accounting aspects in relation to the Group's investment property portfolio.
• Supervising the Rental Ledger team (3 employees).
• Reviewing all activities in relation to the Rental Ledger, including the design and implementation of improved processes and controls.
• Reviewing the Group's investment property unit costs and dealing with refurbishments and reconfigurations.
• Enhancing reporting and control for refurbishment projects, including project appraisals.
• Responsible for the project to re-design and update the MRI software package.
• Assisting the Group Financial Controller in the development of automated management reporting.
• Assisting the Group Financial Controller with the development and implementation of dashboard reporting and the development of KPIs.
• Preparing the quarterly management accounts pack.
• Preparing and finalising the year-end audit files for the principal Company within the Group.
• Overseeing the preparation of the annual report.
• Reviewing of monthly payroll
• Reviewing of the monthly Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) return to HMRC.
• Assisting with the daily operation and the development of the electronic invoice authorisation software.

The Person: To apply, you MUST be an ACCA/ACA qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting skills in real estate/property. The successful individual will be enthusiastic and possess good communication skills as well as be prepared to adopt a hands on approach to deal with any problems that arise. Previous knowledge of property management accounting systems such as QUBE / ECS, APB, Tramps, MRI and Yardi is also preferred.)
