Financial Controller

Finance Manager/Financial Controller. This is a genuine opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join this growing SME business in Birmingham.  We are looking ideally for a qualified ACCA, ACMA or ACA with a “hands on” approach and positive attitude to their work.

The business is a sub £5m turnover company who are specialists in their field and have an impressive client base due to their experience, expertise and reputation.  The company offers the successful candidate an interesting and long term role, working closely with the Managing Director and being part of the senior management team.   The role is seeking a candidate that can bring knowledge of stock and costing as well as production of financial and management accounting.

The Financial Controller will initially be required to  review of processes and implement improvements. On-going the role will play a significant part in the growth of the company.

Duties:

• Managing a team of 4 accounts staff
• Production of statutory accounts
• Monthly management accounts
• Responsible for UK, Europe and US
• VAT
• Payroll
• Budgeting and Forecasting
• Variance analysis
• Liaising with auditors
• CAPEX
• Cash flow forecasting and management
• Multi-currency
• Stock

Suitable candidates:

• ACMA, ACCA, ACA qualified (ideally)
• SME experience
• Long term career move
• Experience of stock and costing
• Manufacturing background
• Positive attitude and good communicator

• Strong IT skills including MS office
• Access database and Sage
