Senior Accounting Manager - Switzerland
An instantly recognisable global brand is looking to hire a Senior Accounting Manager into their European head office in Switzerland.
The Senior Accounting Manager is part of a wider, higher profile team that plays an integral part in the organisation working closely with other areas of finance to provide specialist expertise. You will:
- Take full responsibility for the general ledger, month-end close and internal reporting process
- Assess and analyse financial results for EMEA region
- Assist with inquiries from internal stakeholders regarding the financial results.
- Assist in regional projects which require accounting and finance process knowledge and development
- Liaise with Systems accounting team on the enhancement of new system features
- Maintain accurate accounting for US GAAP including monthly reconciliations for US GAAP and local accounting
- preparation of timely statutory financial statements and corporate reports
- liaise with external and internal auditors
- advise on special projects and implementations aimed at improving operating productivity
Applicants for this Senior Accounting Manager role should have strong knowledge of US GAAP, with IRFS knowledge a big advantage.Previous experience of working in a shared service environment and international exposure is essential. A Big 4 background is preferable with at least 5-10 years of industry experience. Familiarity with SAP is also highly advantageous as are French and / or German language skills, but not essential.
The Senior Accounting Manager will work on a pan European basis and must have the gravitas to implement and influence change across the group.
