Robertson Bell Finance are currently recruiting for a Head of Finance Business Partners. Our client is a dynamic, multinational, commercially focused organisation based in Bedfordshire who are undergoing an exciting period of growth and change. This opportunity is for an initial 6-9-month interim contract with the potential for extension.
This role will be a key partner to the managing director and report directly into the CFO, providing executive level advice and support for all aspects of finance (both strategic and operational) to drive the continued success of the business delivery group. Specifically, this role will:
*Provide independent challenge and support to the business including insight on complex business decisions.
*Set the strategic longer term direction of Finance in support of the wider business agenda
*Drive commercial focus and understanding, including pricing and commercial contracts, particularly for new business
*Provide financial analysis, challenge and post decision monitoring of major investments
*Lead the finance element of business planning and budgeting, including capital budgeting.
*Lead the Business Partnering team
This role is in effect a Finance Director to the group which has a budget of circa £40 million. You will deliver an executive business partnering service, providing financial reports and delivering presentations for the group and executive board.
The successful candidate will be a Qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years post qualified experience. You will have a proven track record in financial management and control in a large commercial environment with extensive evidence of presenting to and challenging senior management. It is essential that you have proven experience of negotiating and building partnerships, using influence to modify behaviour and improve the outcome of business interactions. A solid understanding of pricing concepts and line management of staff is also crucial.
