Property Accountant

A West-end based property company is looking to hire a Qualified Accountant to join their Finance team. This is a broad role that will report into the Group Financial Controller covering a mix of financial, management and project accounting.

Key duties will include:

• Responsibility for all accounting aspects in relation to the Group's investment property portfolio.
• Reviewing the Group's investment property unit costs and dealing with refurbishments and reconfigurations.
• Development of enhanced reporting and control for refurbishment projects, including project appraisals.
• Involvement with the project to re-design and update the accounts software package.
• Assist the Group Financial Controller in the development of automated management reporting.
• Assist the Group Financial Controller with the development and implementation of dashboard reporting and the development of KPIs.
• Assisting with the preparation of the quarterly management accounts pack.
• Assisting with the preparation and finalisation of the year-end audit files for the principal Company within the Group.
• Overseeing the preparation of the annual report.
• Review of a monthly payroll
• Review of the monthly Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) return to HMRC.
• Assisting with the daily operation and the development of the electronic invoice authorisation software.
• Ad hoc support to the Finance Operations Manager, to cover annual leave, etc.

Applicants will need to be Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent with 4-5 years PQE ideally within the property sector. The company offers a competitive remuneration package with genuine opportunity for career development.
