Property Accounting Assistant - Real Estate - £30k-£35k - London. OUR CLIENT is an entrepreneurial, dynamic company who invest in multi-asset classes on an opportunistic basis and currently have £multi-billions worth of assets under management. The company deals mainly with high-profile clients and deals mainly in equity, focussing within the UK. Through continued growth of its real estate funds and finance team the new role for a Property Accounting Assistant will be joining a well-established, high performing team with the opportunity to develop and progress with the company. The successful Property Accounting Assistant will have the main aims of providing management of the Property Payments Ledger and providing wider support to the Property Fund Accounting Team.

 

 

The Role: Duties for the role will include (but are not limited to):

 

  • Maintaining supplier database - adding new suppliers, and ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
  • Entering invoices onto relevant company-wide property systems.
  • Providing MI - reporting on property accounting information, aged debtors, etc.
  • Managing cash on a daily basis including bank reconciliations and liaising with treasury.
  • Being responsible for daily accruals across funds.
  • Being involved with property purchases and sales.
  • Reporting to IPD Rental Information Service on a monthly basis.
  • Reporting on indirect investments on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Working on the annual audits of the funds alongside team members.
  • Taking ownership of procedure manuals - developing full procedure manuals, obtaining agreement from Operations Management, ensuring the processes are implemented and remain current.
  • Ad hoc duties within the Property Accounting team as requested.

 

The Person: The successful candidate will have prior property experience, a good understanding of UK Real Estate, a background in Property Accounting and will be looking to progress in property fund accounting. Ideally the candidate will be part-qualified, achievement-orientated and adaptable to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The company is fast-paced and rely on effective communication and team-work; the successful candidate will demonstrate these qualities on a daily basis. Study support is offered for the successful candidate alongside the opportunity to grow and progress into Property Fund Accounting.
