Financial Controller

My exclusive client are an award winning and privately owned leisure business operating both in the UK and internationally. The organisation has performed exceptionally well in recent years with success coming from both organic growth and acquisition. 

Due to internal promotion and sustained growth, my client are now seeking to appoint an ambitious and commercially astute qualified accountant to take on the role of Financial Controller, supporting the business through its next phase of strategic growth.

Reporting directly to an extremely high calibre Finance Director this role will focus on:

• Management and development of an existing finance team across 2 locations within the UK.  
• Ensuring accurate monthly management accounts are produced for all trading entities of the group including KPI’s, group reports and supporting commentary.
• Supporting the Finance Director through the implementation of business strategies and objectives.
• Ownership of the organisation’s treasury activities, ensuring accurate cash positioning at all times.
• Preparation of the organisation’s annual budgeting and reforecasting activities.
• Maintaining and further develop relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
• Acting as the business lead through the annual external audit process.
• Seeking to develop existing practices across the group to improve ways of working.

The successful candidate will be an ambitious qualified accountant who can demonstrate a successful track record within a developing organisation. They must be career focussed and hungry to progress in a growing business. They must possess excellent communications skills, and have the credibility to build strong working relationships cross functionally within the organisation.
