Management Accountant

A leading Central London based FCA regulated wealth management firm are looking to hire a Management Accountant. The job has arisen due to my client's remarkable growth over the last 2 years (including acquiring several new entities). My client has a preference for candidates who are pursuing an accountancy qualification, ideally ACCA. You should have management accounts experience within financial services or insurance.

The role will be reporting in to the CFO and the duties include balance sheet reconciliations, profit and loss analysis, variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting, producing statutory accounts, accruals and prepayments and reviewing the financial control process. You will be conducting weekly revenue reviews and managing the revenue recognition process. Previous revenue analysis experience within financial services is extremely desirable.

Candidates need to be strong enough to challenge senior managers and stakeholders and have the flair and innovation to come up with new ideas.

There is a significant amount of Excel use in the role, so candidates should be confident building pivot tables and v-look ups from scratch. Exposure to macros would be an excellent bonus. Relevant management accounting (or financial control) experience within a financial services or insurance firm is highly desirable.
