Join a small friendly accountancy firm based in Stockport on either a part time or full time basis.
Your new firm
A sole practitioner, based in Bredbury, Stockport, that has been established for thirty years is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Senior to join the team. The firm have five staff and provide a range of personal and business accounting and tax services to clients in the Greater Manchester area. The firm are looking to appoint an accounts senior to a senior member of the team who is retiring and they will consider either a full time or part time individual.
Your new job
As an Accounts Senior you will report directly into the Partner and be a key support to him and the firm. You will be responsible for preparing year end financial statements, preparing tax computations and assisting clients with the implementation and use or Xero. You will be responsible for taking a lead on client relationships and liaising with clients face to face, on the phone and email. The partner will consider appointing someone on either a part time or full time basis.
What you'll need to succeed
The partner is seeking an experienced general practitioner who has the ability to work autonomously. No specific accounting qualification is necessary but public practice experience is key. Any experience of cloud accounting software, specifically Xero would be preferable.
