A well established and reputable award winning independent firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking an experienced auditor to join their business services team as either an Audit Assistant Manager or Audit Manager. The firm operate from two offices; Stockport and Manchester and employ over 70 staff across all the service lines.

Your new role
In this new job opportunity you will join the Business Services team, working predominantly from the Stockport office. This team undertakes business advisory, audit and compliance services for a range of clients, working predominantly with owner manages businesses.

The firm are seeking an ambitious auditor with proven portfolio and man management skills who is looking for a rewarding career. As an Assistant Manager / Manager you will be responsible for coordinating and leading both audit and accounts assignments for a diverse portfolio of clients and managing a pool of accounting professionals.

Day to day duties include overseeing a portfolio of clients, liaising with and updating the partner on a regular basis, managing the audit teams on site and taking responsibility for the training and development of the junior members of staff. In this role you will have an annual billing target for you and your team that you will be responsible for monitoring and achieving.

What you'll need to succeed
The firm are seeking either a chartered or certified accountant who has operated as an audit senior for at least two years after qualifying. To be considered you will ideally have man management and portfolio management skills however the firm will consider applicants who can only demonstrate one of these skills. This job opportunity is regarded as a leadership role within the firm and therefore you must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic and ambition.
