Senior Finance Manager - Reading - £55k + 8k car allowance


Wade Macdonald have been engaged by a growing pharmaceutical business who are looking for a strong financial controller to come on board and look after all aspect of the financial reporting for the entire business.

* You will be responsible for all aspects of financial management within the company.
* Senior Finance Manager must ensure that the Company plans and controls its income and expenditure to achieve its budgeted profit.
* The position also needs to ensure that the Company meets its statutory obligations - Customs & Excise, inland Revenue Compliance, MHRA (Medical Healthcare Regulations Authority), External & Internal Audits.
* The Senior Finance Manager will secure a comprehensive financial and reporting service from which UK subsidiary and can operate and develop where necessary. * The Senior Finance Manager will be solely responsible for the companies Budget and Forecast in line with Strategic Business Plan ensure timely submission to * Corporate Finance for current year business forecasts and financial budgets.
* You will be in charge of Submission of Personnel budgets for the company in line with Business Plan to Corporate HR Financial Accounting.
* You will maintain the company's full integrated accounting package which includes: general ledger, sales and purchase ledger, sales and purchase order modules, sales ledger credit control, stock control, statistics. Preparation of monthly management accounts and preparation of monthly personnel reports.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Finance Manager include:
- Company Year End - Stocktake, Preparation of year end statutory accounts, External Audit (Mazars)
- Tax Computations, group consolidations (June and December)
- Expenses - Management of Expense Claims System, maintain and control procedures (within group policy and revenue dispensation)
- Management reporting of company performance to France
- Budget and profit planning
- Financial Accounting
- Asset management and cash flow
- Tax and VAT management
- Financial Administrative Management - Pensions administration, Internet banking, Fleet management, Administrative procedures (e.g. purchasing)
- Controls - Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of controls in all areas of work
- Control medical distribution
- Stock Batch Control
- Control of all warehouse activities within MHRA guidelines
- Maintain SOP's
- Responsibility for order services, sales invoicing, credit collection, customer services
- P11D's etc
- Compliance audit

The ideal candidate will be
- CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified preferred
- Ability to communicate with external bodies is an essential skill
- Innovative, responsible, good leadership skills, prioritisation and problem solving experience
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
