Commercial Management Accountant job - £35,000 plus benefits - Port Talbot

Your new role

Within this role, you will be responsible for managing the accounting, reporting and planning activities for a core UK division. Typical activities will include consolidating, understanding and explaining the business results, liaising with Business Partners on judgemental provisions and subjective areas, managing the balance sheet reconciliation process and external audits, co-ordinating the completion of Annual Plan, stock provisioning, key performance indicators and ad hoc reporting and explanation of business performance. There is also a focus on identifying and implementing opportunities for standardisation through comparing current practices across the business.

What you'll need to succeed

To be fully qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA - or be an exceptional QBE Accountant. This is a role for someone with a good technical background with very strong Excel skills who is looking for a development opportunity as there will be lots of business partnering exposure and involvement in key reporting as part of the wider team. This role really suits a self starter as there is not a huge amount of routine and they have some processes that can be significantly improved by someone who works off their own initiative.
