Your new firm
A Top 50 Accountancy Firm that have numerous offices across the North West are looking to appoint a chartered or certified accountant to join their Southport office as a Senior Manager. This is a newly created role to support the partner with the overall running of the office. This is an award winning accountancy firm who possess an excellent reputation as a training firm.

Your new role
As a Senior Manager you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate clients which will include managing audit assignments, leading a small team ensuring all assignments are completed to a high standard and within budget. You will lead your team ensuring they are motivated at all times and you will be responsible for developing and training the junior members of staff and also leading appraisals for all staff. Your portfolio of clients includes a range of businesses and corporate clients and the assignments will be weighted 30% towards audit and 70% towards accounts and tax compliance.


What you'll need to succeed
The partners are seeking an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant who has experience of managing a portfolio of clients. You will ideally have gained at least two years post qualified experience and have developed some staff supervisory experience. This is a management role whereby you will be in constant contact with both internal and external stakeholders therefore you must be able to demonstrate a strong sense of autonomy, excellent communication skills and the ability to lead from the front.
