A 12 month senior financial analyst role focusing on pricing and projects with a FMCG business near Heathrow

Your new role
The purpose of this role is to calculate and obtain approvals for European product Pricing, through coordination with European Marketing and Corporate Global Finance
Liaise with European business units to ensure that relevant prices are set up in SAP.
Support the implementation of various Europe wide financial based projects
Pricing (50% of time):
Calculation and Approval of Prices:
Determine European list of products requiring list prices
Calculation of pricing based on cost up method, VM targets and US retail pricing
Liaise with European Marketing to ensure pricing is reviewed from a commercial perspective and recalculate as a necessary
Obtain approvals for agreed list prices in line with internal approvals manual
Communicate approved pricing internally
Ongoing maintenance of pricing during the year
Set up of approved pricing (weekly):
Liaise with local business units (finance and marketing) to determine required list of approved products by business units
Obtain approvals for business units to have products set up in SAP
Provide approved list of products by business unit to Shared Service Master Data team for system input
Update pricing business process notes
Identify opportunities for process improvements
Projects (50% of time):
Lead and assist on projects to improve financial information available across Europe to enable Senior Managers to make informed decisions.
Develop and review processes where deficiencies in current processes have been highlighted.
Collaborate with individuals across various departments and countries to ensure projects are implemented successfully.
Manage tight deadlines and ensure that all projects are delivered on time taking into consideration other deadlines of individuals involved and business priorities.
Ensure there are plans in place to hand over any routine work once individual projects have been successfully implemented and provide training where necessary.
As a result of project implementation highlight any potential issues and suggest future project and recommend which projects will result in maximum benefit for the business.
Work independently on projects where required with minimal supervision.
Influence individuals across departments and countries to invest time in the various projects even though it is not part of their routine responsibility.
Overall responsibility to ensure projects are successful - projects should add value and processes/reports should become part of the normal business process.
Conduct post project reviews with users to ensure initial project objectives are met.
What you'll need to succeed
Qualified accountant with experience of working (within a financial department)
Excellent communicator (written and oral) and relationship builder
Proficient MS Office User - especially Excel (advanced)
Team player with astute eye for detail
Ability to work to tight deadlines and with minimum supervision
Flexible, dedicated and proactive approach.
What you'll get in return
A 12 month contract at either £250-300 per day ltd or £45-55K salary + bens
