Finance Manager
An exciting opportunity to join one of the world’s largest designers and manufacturers as a Financial Controller to cover one year maternity leave could be yours! The Finance Manager contract will begin December 2016 and end November 2017.
The successful candidate must be part qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with an understanding of UK Financial accounting rules & regulations. Computer literacy with advanced Excel (pivot and lookup tables) is essential and experience of Exchequer would be beneficial.
Reporting to the Finance Director, accountabilities will include:
- To implement the Finance Director’s financial strategy for the Company. To work with the Credit Controller, Assistant Accountant & Accounts Apprentice to ensure deadlines are met, processes adhered to & compliance achieved. To provide support & training where necessary.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Preparation of payroll
- Preparation of all HMRC and Vat declarations within set timescales.
- Preparation of cash flow forecasts
- Preparation of all year-end statutory audit information & to assist with the annual audit.
- Review financial controls & to recommend & implement appropriate change.
- Support the Finance Director by providing ad hoc financial support/advice as required.
- Any other relevant & reasonable duties that may be requested by the Finance Director
This is a 12 month contract position, based in Bedford with a salary of £40,000 per annum plus company pension contribution.
