Our client, a major player within the environmental and renewable energies industries are seeking a Finance Manager to join the team. The business is going through a period of growth with ambitions for further growth. The role holder will have responsibility for producing and co-ordinating the part of the statutory reporting process that is undertaken at the Finance Shared Service Centre.
This includes Holding entities and "multi-activity" entities (including the Group's largest trading entity), plus the audit of the Shared Service Centre transactions.

Whilst the role is very 'hands on', as a technical accounting subject matter expert, the role holder will also have an exceptional understanding of the statutory accounts process, ensuring that audits are managed efficiently and that published accounts are produced in line with IFRS (FRS101) accounting regulations, Companies Act and company policy.



Main Duties and responsibilities will be:

*Co-ordinate the production and completion of Statutory Accounts in the CaseWare system by completing accounts/notes and reviewing and validating the work of others. This will also include providing auditors with any supporting evidence they require from local accountants.
*Becoming the on-site CaseWare super-user
*Coordinate compilation of tax pack information
*Responsibility for the overall process in the FSSC, in coordination with the central teams such as Agreeing the timetable for the Statutory Accounts audit process, providing senior management with a weekly status on progress
*Responsible for various, local, audit controls including Intercompany reconciliations, the review of management papers on key audit topics, the review of cash cut off processes, including inter-company transfers
*Initiation of continual improvement projects to ensure the audit process becomes more efficient and controlled for all parties
*Support to local FSSC team on technical accounting queries


Key skills and experience
Essential:-
*A qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience, who is highly likely to have moved from an internationally recognised Practice
*Strong technical and accounting skills; strong IFRS knowledge
*Advanced Excel skills
*Must be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail to produce accurate information
*Flexible to fit the requirements of role around deadlines and the availability of staff
*Able to communicate effectively at all levels in an organisation
Desirable:-
*Knowledge of CaseWare's Accounts Advanced accounts production software
*Knowledge of SAP
*Knowledge of MS Access
