Commercial Accountant

I am currently recruiting for a Commercial Accountant to joing a fast moving technology business. You must be immediately available or on short notice.

This is a key position within the Finance Team and would suit someone who is looking to make an impact in a growing company. The main purpose of the role is to provide management information to Functional Heads, ensure the operation of key financial processes and controls, ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and accounts preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Analysis of management accounts and providing feedback to Functions
• Preparation of 'flash' report post month-end close including commentary on key activity
• Assistance with month-end close and reporting processes, including revenue and cost analysis
• Preparation of year-end financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP
• Assistance with year-end audit, including dealing with auditor queries
• Balance sheet control through preparation of asset and liability account reconciliations and analysis of balances
• Co-ordination of the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, including analysis of costs and revenue assumptions and challenging functional forecasts

Skills:

• ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified with 3 years post-qualified experience.
• Strong analytical experience
• Proven experience of Business Partnering with senior stakeholders
• Strong Financial Reporting experience within a multi function environment
• Exceptional communication skills - both verbal and written
