Robertson Bell finance are pleased to be working with a leading Property Developer, who have a turnover in excess of £200m and are looking to recruit a technically strong Financial Accounting Manager to be based at Head Office in Birmingham. This is an exciting time to be joining the Group as they are currently going through a business wide change program, including finance and will be looking to grow through their own development and joint ventures.
The Financial Accounting Manager, will report into a highly capable Assistant Finance Director, who themselves have an audit background and have worked for a range of blue-chip companies, they will give you the full support and training needed to transition into this role.
As the Financial Accounting Manager you will coach, manage and lead a team of circa 5. You will be responsible for leading on the groups statutory accounts; take responsibility supervising the reconciliations of balance sheet accounts for all entities; take accountability for the submission of the financial results and reporting to senior and executive management, the board and external stakeholders and lead on a range of finance transformation projects to improve efficiency.
The successful candidate will be: fully qualified accountant with a proven track record of producing statutory accounts (those straight from practice will also be considered) and working effectively and delivering to tight deadlines. Some staff management/ supervisory experience is key, as is having an understanding of FRS 102. Please note, some of the key points of this opportunity, unlike some others, is the benefits on offer; a strong work- life balance (opportunity to potentially work from home one or two days a week), you will not work more than the standard amount of hours on a regular basis and you will have an excellent working environment.
