SOX Compliance Manager / Senior Finance Manager

Are you a big 4 / top 20 trained accountant with previous SOX experience?  A standout new role has been created at a global manufacturing company looking for a talented and strong technical accountant to guide Sarbanes Oxley application across the group.  Full training and updates for you to get up to speed on SOX will be provided so please don’t worry if your experience in the controls needs review.  This role is ideal for an ambitious candidate who enjoys explaining the intricacies of financial information to both finance and non finance staff.

The SOX Compliance Manager will be responsible for:

• Oversight of SOX controls across the group and becoming the expert in latest and changes and their application
• Complete risk testing and reporting and putting in place solutions to rectify breaches
• Update and maintain the Sarbanes Oxley documentation whilst working with stakeholders to test and plan for future plans
• Presenting walkthroughs of processes and testing key controls
• Monitoring remediation activities taken by the business units and ensuring hitting appropriate time tables
• Liaison with auditors and preparation for internal and external audits

Ideally you will have/be:

• ACA qualified from big 4 or top 20 firm
• Previous Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) experience from audit or within industry
• This role would suit a 1^st, 2^nd or 3^rd time mover from practice.
• Strong communicator, able to present to small but high level groups and one to one in complex accounting processes.
