Finance Business Partner

Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for a fantastic Finance Business Partner position with an innovative and dynamic technology organisation based in Gloucester (just off the M5). £40,000-£50,000 + 10% bonus and benefits.

The Role

As part of the UK Management team, this is an instrumental role to drive revenue and profitable growth by partnering with the UK General Manager, as well as the Sales & Marketing teams. They need someone to give insight into the meaning behind the numbers, present their recommendations, highlight areas of risk and opportunity, and be the face of finance for the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting & forecasting of the UK business to both the local management team and the Europe, Australia and Canada organisation (EAC): Volume & pricing, gross margins, VSE, S&M expenses & headcount with explanations of trends, movements and variances
• Sales commissions: Provision of sales data & calculation of sales rep monthly commissions
• UK management teams support: Being a member of the UK management team, provide financial advice and guidance to support the business and help drive profitable sales growth
• Sales Reporting: Provide monthly sales analysis, complementing with additional insights
• Customer sales analysis: including sales contract reviews and rebate calculations
• Month-end accounting: support the accounting team in ensuring the accounts are accurately recorded at the end of the month in both SAP and BOPC and support a quarterly balance sheet review of the UK legal entity
• Inventory Control: Assessment & calculation of E&O provision; assist in maintaining appropriate level of MIOH
• Ad hoc support and projects

Your Profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA , CIMA)
• Strong analytical experience - ability to 'tell a story' and make recommendations
• Effective Stakeholder Management skills with non-finance
• Commercially astute - able to see the 'bigger picture'
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with enough gravitas to communicate with, and challenge the senior leadership and sales team.

Salary & Benefits

The Finance Business Partner will be offered a salary between £40,000-£50,000 + 10% bonus and benefits
