Management Accountant

A newly created Management Accountant role has arisen for a rapidly growing manufacturing business in Warrington. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role offers outstanding career progression for any Part-Qualified Management Accountant who is looking to further progress their career.

Key responsibilities:

• First point of financial contact for operational teams and Financial Controller, building relationships with key operational contacts
• Support Financial Controller and operational management and provide financial analysis
• Investigate financial issues such as old debts, cash flow, management of balance sheet - accruals/deferred revenue/balance sheet recs etc
• Prepare monthly management accounts for inclusion in consolidated pack in accordance with deadlines and provide timely and insightful financial analysis and commentary
• Preparation of rolling monthly forecasts
• Explain financial results and concepts to non financial staff. Coach and develop non financial staff to better understand the results within their services.
• Work with operational teams, Management Accountant & Financial Controller to prepare annual budgets and re-forecasts
• Preparation of year end pack to allow completion of statutory accounts & tax calculations

Key requirements:

• Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or Management Accountant vacancy
• Studying towards professional Accounting qualification (CIMA/ ACCA or equivalent)
• Manufacturing and Production experience an advantage
• Strong communication skills
• Impeccable attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Self-starter able to work with minimal management supervision
• Highly computer literate e.g. Excel, and all MS office tools
• Excellently presented, positive attitude and mind-set
• Has a flexible approach to work
• Outgoing personality and has initiative
• A true team player, who is willing to complete tasks that may not be in their immediate realm of responsibilities in order to get the job done
