Are you a newly qualified, finalist or post qualified accountant looking for a rewarding ‘hands on’ role in an entrepreneurial group? This new Management Accountant position created following an acquisition is working in an expanding boutique SME in North Wirral. Aimed at ambitious and tenacious candidates this is a great opportunity to learn from a commercially savvy FD with genuine chance of progression. This role is open to candidates working in industry but also people looking to make their first move from practice as the FD is practice trained and will help you in the transition.
The Management Accountant will be responsible for:
- Monthly management accounts for 2-3 entities
- Balance sheet reconciliations and profit & loss
- Posting of journals, accruals and prepayments
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Analysis of stock, variances and KPIs for the premises
- Potentially helping with Excel modelling for new company acquisitions
- Development into supervising the accounts team
Ideally you will have/be:
- Proven background within accounts department in producing management accounts
- Sage line 50 experience a benefit but not essential
- Outgoing, confident and articulate
- Intermediate Excel skills
