Financial Accountant

We are recruiting for an qualified Financial Accountant for our client, a hugely successful retail brand in the Peterborough area.

You will be responsible for the financial accounting function of the department including treasury, fraud prevention, and corporate tax.

Other aspects include preparing monthly board reports and consolidated finance reports, review Balance Sheet reconciliations, prepare group VAT and other corporate tax returns.

The successful applicant will work with the Financial Controller and Treasurers to develop systems, processes and controls, improve reporting, monitor foreign currency, improve control, monitor cashflow on a scheduled basis revise forecast when needed.

To apply you will hold an appropriate accountancy qualification such as ACA or ACCA (or equivalent), be technically astute and up to date with UK accounting regulations and standards.

To be successful you will have experience of managing and developing team members, be commercially aware, have strong leadership qualities and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
