Finance Director / CFO

Leading boutique VCT (FCA Regulated) seeks a high calibre qualified accountant as CFO / Finance Director. You will already have some relevant experience working in an FCA regulated investment environment.

A key position working at the top of the organisation alongside the CEO and Chairman, the new CFO / Finance Director will provide key operational support to the CEO as the fund embarks upon its next round of investments. You will work closely with the CEO and Chairman, making a contribution to strategy and decision-making across the business.  The role will include:-

•    Full financial support for the investment management business
•    Oversee the Financial Controller and outsourced accounting providers
•    Internal and external business reporting, valuation and monitoring of all funds
•    Provision of portfolio analytics and involvement in ad hoc projects
•    Preparing annual and half yearly public accounts for an LSE listed Venture Capital Trust
•    Quarterly and ad hoc reporting for a limited partnership VC fund
•    Develop effective relationships with the investment team to provide support on deals as required
•    Ensuring effective compliance and control and responding to regulatory developments
•    Involvement in structuring new funds/products and in the fundraising for these

You will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CIMA) with experience in an asset management or private equity, FCA regulated environment, seeking an opportunity to participate in the success of an entrepreneurial business and reap rewards accordingly. The position comes with an LTIP and the opportunity to earn Carry as the business progresses.
