Head of Commercial

Badenoch & Clark are currently recruiting a Head of Commercial role for a global organisation based in West Sussex. Reporting into the Commercial Director you will provide strategic and day to day commercial support to the business.

The successful candidate will have a broad background in finance or commercial management, with a proven history of contract retention and new business success.

Key responsibilities will include:
*Manage and develop a team of Pricing Analyst's to ensure targets and objective are met effectively.
*Develop and maintain governance around costing and the wider business to include the approval matrix.
*Manage bidding processes from a financial perspective to ensure contracts are financially competitive.
*Work with operators to review high risk and loss making contracts to appraise all options available with regards to a turnaround plan.
*Support with the identification and implementation of opportunities to enhance the gross margin service density, bid solution and contract retention.
*Manage and support the Commercial Director with projects and Pricing Analyst with bid modelling.
*Ensure the pricing models are fit for purpose.
*Support Finance & Operational teams to maintain targeted debtor days.
*Develop and maintain a commercial policy across the UK business.
Experience / Background
*Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent
*Excellent knowledge of commercial management and planning
*Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
*Extensive knowledge of supporting large and complex sales solutions and contract re-engineering
*Experience of producing complex costing models
*The ability to seek variances and trends in significant pieces of data demonstrating strength at an advanced level of Excel
