Anthony Cole Associates are honoured to be exclusively partnering with an iconic sporting business based in London. Due to continued expansion and recent successes, they are seeking to hire a newly created role into the team as a Finance Manager.
Reporting to the newly promoted Deputy CFO, this role will act as his number 2 and be responsible for the day to day supervision of the team. This will involve providing up to date and accurate financial information for key stakeholders, the Board and the Banks.
The postholder will be responsible for:-
- Preparation of Monthly Management accounts
- Fixed Assets accounting
- Accounting for Players contracts and transfers (additions, disposals, amortisation)
- Monthly Balance Sheet Account reconciliations
- Preparation and submission of the quarterly VAT return.
- Providing cover for monthly payroll administration as and when required
- Provision of monthly Head of Department financial reporting
- Participation in the budgeting process
- Developing and enhancing the Finance and related systems.
- Assisting and supporting the Payroll Assistant with production of P11ds
- Administration of the annual PSA application and calculation of payments due to HMRC.
- Preparation of draft Statutory accounts at year end and half year end, liaising with Company Auditors.
- Proactively manage the sales ledger and credit control function to ensure that all receivables are billed and monies received in accordance with contracts.
To be considered, you will have a strong management and financial accounting background, gained from within a small/medium sized company. Ideally you will be a newly/recently qualified ACCA accountant, however my client may consider a part qualified/QBE candidate with the required level of relevant experience and other qualifications too. You must have had some supervisory/management experience, and be a confident, outgoing and down to earth person to fit into their fun and lively team. Strong Excel skills including Pivots and LookUps are also required.
