Financial Pricing Anlayst / Modeller

OVERVIEW

Currently looking to recruit a Financial Pricing Modeller, who will report directly to the Senior Commercial Analyst. This role is based at their UK office in Theale, nr Reading.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

To manage and improve the financial processes on a commercial level dealing with large complex models

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities: Modelling

• Gather instructions for modelling of variations in relation to existing contracts, challenging as appropriate
• Undertake modelling work in the agreed timescale and record in the agreed format or, if there is no agreed format, in a clear and transparent way
• Seek to understand the commercial/contractual ramifications of both new or existing variations, challenging or advising as appropriate
• All modelling work should be easy for others to understand / follow
• Other analysis as requested
• Occasional modelling work in relation to New Business
• Checking of modelling work done by others
• Maintain professionalism and high degree of attention to detail

EDUCATION AND SKILLS

The role would suit a junior pricing analyst with strong analytical skills

• ACCA,ACA or CIMA is Desirable, Essential Maths A Level
• Strong Excel experience
• Mathematical & logical mind
• Attention to detail
• Good record keeping
• Desire to produce accurate, reliable and high quality work in a timely manner
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Genuine interest in dealing with personnel that possess varying levels of financial expertise
• Self-starter and innovative thinker
• Ability to work independently and knowledge of when to communicate updates
• Commitment to "get the job done"
