Group Accountant (ACA)

Would you like to work for a Global Technology business? My client is looking for a Group Accountant to be part of a team that produces Financial Analysis, Management Accounts and Statutory Accounts at group. This role gives varied exposure and is an excellent all round role learning the right skills to enable progression to FC and FD in the future.

Key Accountabilities

• Assist in completing the monthly Misys Group consolidation, reviewing submissions from Group companies and analysing balance sheet items;
• Prepare monthly management accounts reports for senior group management;
• Perform monthly intercompany reconciliation procedure for balance sheet and income statement items;
• Maintain monthly intercompany loan data, co-ordinate the booking of the journals, review new loans;
• Assist in quarterly loan covenant compliance by preparing the financial statements, the compliance calculations and guarantor loan and investment tests;
• Assist with production of statutory accounts for head office/holding/UK and Irish companies;
• Prepare analysis and presentation material as requested, with focus on the balance sheet;
• Work with IS to maintain and develop the group Cognos consolidation system and reports;
• Develop good working relationships with the SSC and other head office department;
• Keep management and SSC informed of accounting technical developments and their impact on financial reporting;
• Work on projects to implement new accounting and reporting developments and improvements; and
• Provide cover for other members of the reporting team.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant ACA  (preferably big 4 or equivalent) with one to two years PQE
