Group FInancial Controller

My client is a successful and growing precision engineering company with an increasing international presence, looking to float on AIM in the next 6 to 12 months.  As a result of these exciting developments an experienced Group Financial Controller is required to upgrade group reporting and controls to the required standard for the short term and beyond.
Reporting to the Group Finance Director your principal responsibilities will include:  

• Production of full monthly management accounts with board packs and analysis
• Provision of FP&A support to the business and ownership of the corporate timetable
• Ensuring readiness for annual and interim published accounts
• Completion of statutory accounts and UK tax returns
• Cash management & treasury responsibility
• Provision of robust business “sense-check” to financial and commercial propositions
• Ad-hoc projects including systems implementation / development

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:  

• Qualified accountant with group reporting and controllership experience
• Experience working in a complex, dynamic environment
• Ability to deal with both technical and commercial complexity
• Strong IT experience, preferably to include ERP systems
• Strong, credible communicator able to build relationships at all levels
• Excellent investigative and analytical ability
