Assistant Financial Controller

Our client is one of the largest private developers in the UK who has extremely strong relationships with its banks, funders and joint venture partners. Formed over 20 years ago, its strengths lie in the organisation, planning, development and management of both residential and commercial properties. It has followed an opportunistic and value-enhancement approach and has an experienced team with diverse skill sets enabling it to exploit opportunities that it comes across dependant on prevailing market conditions. They are actively looking to recruit at the earliest opportunity, a Financial Accountant to join their team.

Please find below the basic job spec;

* Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts
* Year End consolidated accounts
* Prepare for yearly company accounts audit
* Manage and Supervise a small team of staff
* Ensuring effective control of procedures within the accounts department
* Financial analytics and cashflows for individual projects
* Review all reconciliations and resolving any issues/queries
*Correspond with banks and HMRC on resolving any issues/queries
* Supervise VAT returns
* Supervise and ensure timely receivables and payables
*Assist project managers and directors with financial queries
*Be willing to assist as part of a team in any and all tasks within the company

Basic Skills required;

*Significant excel usability (e.g. Pivots, V Look Ups, Sumifs…)
*Sage Line 50 or relative accounting software

The salary is competitive, based on experience it is in the region of £40,000 - £45,000 (possibly a little more for the right person) and has parking available on site.
