I am currently working on an exciting opportunity within a FTSE property business to work within the developments and assets division. The role will involve taking ownership of a huge contract for the business - it is a newly created role and is highly regarded within the business.

My client is a hugely successful property and construction business that are FTSE listed and growing rapidly. They are national business and are market leaders within their specialism. Due to their recent success they are looking to expand the finance team from a senior level downwards. Additionally they offer consistent progression and competitive packages.
Description
- Act as an effective team member when working with the development team to provide commercial financial insight into the review and delivery of capital projects. Ensure lessons learned on previous projects are factored into current projects and pro-actively challenge key areas of risk to ensure these are clearly highlighted to senior management.
- Manage and own the financial appraisal models for the major capital projects within your control, ensuring they are regularly updated, robust and consistently produced in line with corporate control requirements.
- Ensure all models are constructed to enable effective review.
- Analyse the financial impact of development projects on performance in line with group accounting policies, and ensure consistency between development appraisals and business plan assumptions.
- Provide the necessary forecast information and analysis to enable completion of the Group's development pipeline report y the Capital Projects Financial Controller.
- Produce monthly capital expenditure reports for inclusion as appropriate in the monthly financial report to the Group Executive Committee and for circulation to project owners for their sign-off. Also to ensure that workup costs are re-forecast in line with milestone events.
- Facilitate the timely provision of accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial information to the UK Development and Shopping Centre teams as required for assets within your control
- Review quarterly flash and actual operating statements to ensure accuracy and correct accounting.
- Advise the UK Development and Shopping Centre teams on the appropriate accounting for transactions in collaboration with the Group Finance team.
- Provide input into the reporting of the divisional targets.
- Ad-hoc project work.
Profile
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA with 2 years PQE within industry or audit manager level.
- Experience of capital project control and analysis
- Strong understanding of investment appraisal, including model building and understanding of different appraisal techniques
- Ability to build successful relationships with both internal and external clients and work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent Microsoft Office suite skills with particular emphasis on Excel
- Strong report writing skills with the ability to express financial results articulately at multiple levels up to Board level
- Knowledge of current accounting standards application to capital expenditure and revenue recognition
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and remain calm under pressure Strong organisation and planning skills
Job Offer
Salary is between £58,000 and £62,000 (+ additional benefits)
