Finance Business Partner

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Accountant to join a prestigious and historic organisation, based in Central London, for a fixed term contract running to February 2018.

The Finance Department has a small select team of Business Partners who are aligned to different areas of the business and who are responsible for commercial financial support including:
* liaison and advice to departments
* ad hoc analysis and decision support
* monthly management accounts and performance reporting
* roll-forward forecasting
* annual budgeting and long-term financial modelling and planning

The Corporate Services Directorate, c.£0.9M annual turnover with costs of £8M is made up of several departments that support the underlying organisational operations and promotes high quality support services through the work of its teams:
* Facilities and Property services
* Information Technology
* Finance
* Business Development

Capital projects and budgets are also managed by this Directorate.
Following a restructure, Events Marketing and Fundraising is now under a new directorate called 'Central Office' and is also managed by this FBP

Job Purpose:
To assist the Resources directorate to deliver its strategic and financial performance targets, maximizing income opportunities, managing costs and mitigating risks. And contribute to the broader financial and strategic performance of the organisation.

Reports to: Head of Finance Business Partnering

Works closely with:
Members of Finance Team
Managers and staff of Corporate Services and its 4 key departments
Managers of Events Marketing
Managers of the Fundraising department

Person Specification:

You will be a Qualified accountant with strength in character to liaise with people at all levels and a resilience to the challenges faced in such a demanding, yet rewarding role.

You can come from any background although some exposure to the charitable sector would be an advantage.
